Angel Allende’s Music
Angel Allende Parra is a musician currently residing in Brooklyn, NY who hails from Puebla, Mexico.
His last collaboration in Mexico was with The Tacits, a collective of fellow Puebla musicians who began their collaboration by combining composition and improvisation. The progressive rock band is characterized by their quality and originality, both in the studio and on stage.
In 2008 Allende moved to NY to expand his musical perspective and due to his admiration for the NYC Rock Scene. He played for Ender Wins Band for almost 4 years - participating in song-writing, recording and performing in the underground venues of NYC.
In 2012 he joined The Judy Blooms (Thejudyblooms.com) - a two person partnership - and together they released the EP Judy. It was described as "a lush blend of both musicians that incorporates indie and prog rock, layered with synthesizers, soft drums" by Timothy Anderl. He has been playing drums at the Brooklyn area venues (and even a small tour in France where The Judy Blooms were featured on "best releases" lists). They are a “blue-collar band" according to the vocalist leader of The Judy Blooms, Jake Giesige, when he spoke to his hometown Dayton city paper.
Currently The Judy Blooms are working on a new EP which they expect to release this summer and have begun work on a full length album to keep an eye out for next year.
